Assemble Grow Bags for Manna Drop

On Thursday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., we'll meet at the Thomas County Central Ag Greenhouse to assemble grow bags with squash plants. We'll be working with students from the TTCHS agriculture department.

These plants will be given away on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Harper Elementary School as part of the Hands on Thomas County Manna Drop.

If all the grow bags are not assembled on Thursday morning, we will have a second assembly day on Friday, Oct. 18. Contact Marta Jones Turner at (229) 221-0958 to sign up and for more details.

Find parking instructions for the greenhouse (behind TCCHS) here.

Thursday, Oct. 17
Pack & Sort

The club meeting on Thursday, Oct. 17 will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Second Harvest Food Bank. This month, we are packing boxes for hurricane victims.

Saturday, Oct. 19
Grow Bag and Plant Giveaway

Instead of our typical produce market, this month, we'll host a free grow bag with vegetable giveaway at Harper Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This event is part of Hands on Thomas County Day.

This distribution - squash plants grown from seed by students in the Thomas County Central High School ag department - is made possible by Rotary's Big Impact Projects and a Rotary District 6900 Community Grant, with support from the UGA Extension staff.

To volunteer, please arrive by 8:30 a.m. to begin setting up and registering participants.
