President's Message
It's All Because of YOU!

It has been my pleasure to serve as your President in 2020-21. Truly it has been one of the most rewarding years in my life.
You should all be proud of our many accomplishments. It is that “nothing’s going to stop us ” attitude that makes Roswell Rotary one of the leading Rotary clubs in the world.
In the second half of the year, we continued to rock and roll. We:
1. Continued to host blood drives. Four for the year.
2. Helped seniors with landscaping needs
3. Provided valentines to seniors at Roswell Nursing Home
4. Hosted the 24th Roswell Relays
5. Were awarded a $64,000 Global Grant for two freshwater wells in Panama
6. Delivered 25 Spring Cleaning Baskets for seniors
7. Swept the Hooch
8. Raised $4,400 in donations and participated in the Polar Plunge with Roswell Police Department to support Special Olympics.
9. Packed 100 backpacks with lunch for Blessings in a Backpack
10. Distributed Moderna vaccines for members 65 plus
11. Laws of Life award winners were selected and recognized at a meeting
12. Awarded Tom Zachary, Power of One and new this year, the Stan Moses scholarships in May
13. Presented Amy Brannen with the Elwyn Gaissert Sr. Service Above Self Award
14. Celebrated our 70th Anniversary with Guest Speaker, RI VP Anne Matthews
15. Hosted the first Drake House Easter Egg Hunt
16. Produced a Memorial Day Ceremony virtual video
17. Participated in the Farmers to Food program distributing 550 food boxes to Roswell residents
18. Hosted EHT/GBI training for local law enforcement
19. Supported local teachers at 4 title one schools with a free King of Pops
20. Painted 10 picnic tables for local nonprofits and restaurants increasing our visibility
21. Awarded $140,000 to local charities
22. Sent 7 students to eRYLA
23. Continued to host Hump Days
24. Danced the night away at our Holiday/Anniversary Party “Fish Fry” in May
25. Continued to raise awareness with coverage in local newspapers (The Neighbor and Herald) published an article of every issue of the District Newsletter and continued coverage on Facebook. Our first TV coverage aired June 7th on Fox 5 supporting the EHT/GBI training.
26. Mentored Drake House Resident twice a month with a financial planning program
27. Honored members with the Gear shifter Award
28. Introduced new members in the Rotascope
29. Highlighted charities partners in the Rotascope
30. Continued to support 5 Interact Clubs
31. Raised $336,000 for RI Foundation. A club record.
32. Donated $9,800 to Polio Plus
33. 1 new Major Donor, 1 Benefactor and 1 Major Donor Level 2
34. 1 new Arch Klumph Society Member
35. Inducted 9 new members
